Contact lenses
Our optometrists will examine your eyes and help you choose which are most suitable for you based on your individual requirements and life style. The range of products available is increasing all the time, so the probability of finding a lens to suit you is high.
We can supply contact lenses to correct long or short sight, astigmatism and presbyopia.
We offer a free trial on disposable lenses; you only pay the initial consultation fee, so you can try before you buy. We only supply high quality lenses from leading manufacturers such as Ciba Vision, Johnson & Johnson, Cooper Vision, NO7, Mark Ennovy, Bausch & Lomb and Sauflon.
Daily Disposable:
These are worn once during waking hours then thrown away, very convenient and hygienic. Also suitable for occasional wear e.g. sport & holidays
Planned Replacement: fortnightly, monthly, 3 monthly
Some of these lenses are made from the latest silicone hydrogel materials which allow higher levels of oxygen to pass through the lens to the eye, promoting improved eye health and comfort and reduced end of day drying. They are worn during waking hours, removed and disinfected before wearing again.
Gas Permeable Lenses:
These can provide more stable vision in cases of high astigmatism and can also allow high levels of oxygen to pass through the lens to the eye. They can take longer to adapt to but can last longer than soft lenses.
Contact Lens Aftercare:
Regular check ups are essential when you wear contact lenses to ensure your eyes remain healthy and you always have the optimum lens for you. These visits are generally advised every 6 months, more frequently if you are a new wearer.
We operate EYEPLAN, a monthly direct debit scheme allowing you to spread the cost of eye care and eye wear.
